He has experience in patent matters in a corporate laboratory before entering NIPB. Nozomu joined the firm in 2010, becoming a partner in 2016, and assuming Managing Partner in 2023. He handles applications for patent in various fields as well as trademarks, and also represents clients in trials and litigations.

He made a career move to IP department of a papermaking company, where he managed overall IP matters, including IP contracts and litigations. Masayuki joined the firm in 2008, becoming a partner in 2016. He focuses much of his time on patent applications related to vehicles and autonomous vehicles, and is also experienced in appeal proceedings, trials, and litigations.
